The Bread Baker's Apprentice. I cannot tell you how long i have looked for a decent bread book with pictures and easy explanations. So far, all my recipes have turned out fantastic, much to the delight of my family.
And because i like matching sets, i of course bought the second. Also it was so worth it, the recipes are delicious, with a lot of simple explanations.
